We don’t ask for attention. We earn it. We don’t wait to be taken seriously. We show up and do the work. We let our game speak, and it’s been saying a lot.
We weren’t handed a spotlight. We came from late nights, second jobs, shared gear, and the drive to prove that a small country like ours could take on the world in esports. We’re used to being underestimated, and we’ve learned to use that to our advantage.
The E Blacks are New Zealand’s national esports team, built on grit, teamwork, and belief in what’s possible. Since our first appearance at the IESF World Championships in Jakarta back in 2016, we’ve grown from a team no one saw coming into a force that keeps showing up on the global stage — from the Commonwealth Esports Championships to the GEF Global Esports Games and beyond.
We play with pride. For each other. For our communities. For every young player watching from home, wondering if they’ll ever get their shot. We’re here to show them it’s possible.
The E Blacks are supported by the New Zealand Esports Federation (NZESF), and together we’re building something bigger than results — we’re building a future for esports in Aotearoa.
Because esports isn’t just a game. It’s strategy, skill, sacrifice, and connection. It’s a place where the overlooked get to shine..
We are a team. We are here. We are the E Blacks.
