However, these plain English terms are not legally binding. The General Terms are the legal terms that apply if anything goes wrong.

  • Personal Information: E Blacks stores your personal information when you use our services. Because we store this information, E Blacks takes on the legal responsibilities that come with doing so.

  • Log Data: When you visit our service, E Blacks collects data your browser sends us, including your IP address, browser version, time and date of visit, and other stats.

  • Security: E Blacks’ data is encrypted and stored securely via Google Cloud Server. All passwords are hashed so even E Blacks cannot see them.
  • Social Media and Links: If you click on a third-party link, we’re not responsible for the privacy or content of those other sites.
  • Age Restriction: Children under 13 need permission from a parent or guardian to access our service. If someone under 13 provides information without consent, we’ll delete it immediately.

General Terms

E Blacks are park of New Zealand Esports Federation (NZESF) Incorporated (an incorporated society in New Zealand) (NBN: 9429043299775). The E Blacks is the recognised national team for esports in New Zealand. Our services allow players, parents, teams, organisations and others to access events, news, career opportunities, and other esports-related resources. This Privacy Policy applies to individuals using https://eblacks.nz/ (the Website).

This policy informs you of E Blacks’ approach to collecting, using, and disclosing personal information. “Personal Information” means any data that can be used to identify you.

By using the service, you agree to the then-current Privacy Policy. E Blacks may update this policy at any time. The latest version is always available at https://www.eblacks.nz/privacypolicy. We’ll also notify you via the service if we believe a change materially impacts how we handle your information. Continued use of the service means you accept those changes.

You can unsubscribe from E Blacks communications at any time by emailing info@esf.nz.

Collection of Personal InformationWhen you register as a user, we may collect:

  • Passwords

If a player is banned by E Blacks, we may:

  • Publish the player’s full name and gamertag online in a public statement
  • Share relevant details with the game publisher

We won’t disclose more information than is needed to fulfill those purposes.

We will never sell your personal information.

Storage of Personal Information

E Blacks is based in Auckland, New Zealand. For the purposes of GDPR, New Zealand is considered to provide adequate protection for personal data.

We work with third-party providers (hosting, payment systems, CRMs, etc.)—some may be based outside New Zealand or Australia.

By using our service, you consent to your information being stored in New Zealand or Australia. Note that privacy protections in some countries may differ from your own.

We retain your information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

Once your account is closed, you won’t be able to log in or access any personal information unless you open a new account.

  • Request deletion if the data is no longer needed, was collected unlawfully, or you withdraw consent
  • Object to processing if you believe we don’t have a legitimate reason
  • Request that we restrict processing while an issue is being resolved

E Blacks reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for providing this data, in line with legal allowances.

Log Data

Social Media and Third-Party LinksOur website contains links to platforms like Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter. Once you leave our site, we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before using them.

Age Restriction

If E Blacks provides services to children under 13, we require a parent or guardian’s consent. If a child under 13 shares data without consent, it will be deleted.
